TallyJ has been around since 2002, helping with elections every year since then.
The web version of TallyJ, version 2, was first available for use in December 2011 for Assembly by-elections and grew to support all types of Bahá'í elections.
Version 3, released in 2020, added the capability for individual voters to cast their ballot online.
In addition to the main TallyJ website, in 2019 another site called TallyJ for Officers was made available specifically for members of an Assembly (local or national) to have an online way to elect their own officers.
Development and hosting of TallyJ has been supported by generous contributions by the Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá'ís of Calgary, the Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá'ís of Airdrie, and by Sunwapta Solutions Inc.. Many other individuals and Bahá'í Assemblies have contributed financial support over the past 22 years to keep the servers running!
You can read more on the Facebook TallyJ Support page, especially in a series of Notes there.
